CoBots was my first year project at Uppsala University and is a co-op puzzle game where two players have to work together to transport a fragile item through dangerous levels.

The core
The two players control one robot each and are attached to each other with a link. This forces the players to cooperate to be able to move around and also to pick up and carry the rather sensitive sphere throughout the different levels.
Setting
The Spaceship where the game takes place is a human spaceship and the different levels and rooms presents the things that the human species thought was most important to bring. Like the kitchen, the nice library with a fire, the beach and oh, also the dinosaur skeletons of course.
Game design
I worked with the concept and design of the games puzzles and later on helped out with the 3D modelling. I worked closely with one of my class mates when we designed the shape and colour of our characters as we wanted to keep them gender neutral. We decided to give the character with a more male shaped torso a purple-pink colour and the more female shaped received a green tone.

This game won the “Best first year- award as well as the “Pwnage award” (Best game at the conference) at the Gotland Game Conference 2013. Â You can check out our trailer here:
